Thomisus okinawensis
Yellow flower crab spider just lying in wait on a Zinnia flower to ambush insects. This species is a Thomisus okinawensis Strand, 1907, of family Thomisidae, subfamily Thomisinae, tribe Misumenini, distributed in Thailand to Ryukyu Islands, Philippines, Indonesia. Females of Thomisus Walckenaer, 1805 are 4-10mm long, males 2-7mm. Brightly colored, usually matching the color of the flower in which they are waiting in ambush. Some species can change their color over a period of some days to match the flower color, typically in ranges of white, pink, and yellow.
