Description:

A female Clitarchus hookeri in my back yard...I was watching her for couple of hours, when I decided to aproach her, she pretended she died :) Smart! Snapped the pics, and left her alone :)

Dear @martinl, im afraid the only common name is "common New Zealand stick insect"...

That is neat.
She seems to have no wings at all.
