Black Vultures

Coragyps atratus

Habitat:

Urban. Atop front door of baptist church! (haha @ location choice for copulation!)

Notes:

First saw them gliding together - in wind of nor'easter. Then the female landed atop arched roof above front door of baptist church. The male landed too. They mated, and then remained side-by-side until I left.

Photo has since been titled: "Irreverent" because they are copulating - on a church (!) rooftop above the front door - on a Sunday morning ...not to mention they are cloaked in black and live on death

And I love that they... ‘conducted their business’ on a church! Our little feathered rebels!
