Eastern Barking Frog

Eleutherodactylus augusti latrans

Habitat:

Found in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Mexico. They are terrestrial and generally found near rocky outcrops. In Texas, where I found this guy, they are typically found in juniper/oak scrub forest.

Notes:

They are called barking frogs because their calls sound like a dog barking.
