Phalacrocorax carbo
Australia's largest cormorant, a waterbird, black feathers all over, some white on sides in breeding season, yellow under chin up to under eyes and extending along lower beak, long beak with hook at end, long neck, short legs and webbed feet, dives under water to catch fish, often seen with extended wings drying feathers.
Found throughout much of Australia around coast and inland waterways, except very arid inland of central west. This one on east coast beach in mixed group of birds.
