Bald Eagle (Partial Albinism)

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Description:

The five outer primaries on this Bald Eagle are white on each wing on this unusual bird. It has symetrical partial albinism also known as leucism. It lacks any melanin in these particular feathers.

Habitat:

Southeast Alaska coast in Pavlof Bay, feeding near salmon stream.
