Lesser Rice-Leafroller Moth

Cnaphalocrocis poeyalis

Description:

This is a moth that i found on the wall of my house. This moth is brownish in color, and it has 3 brown lines across the each forewing, and 2 lines across each hindwing. The size of this moth is about 7 mm in length, and its wingspan is about 18 mm.

Habitat:

- Spotted on the wall of my house. Usually, it can be found around the house (especially near the light sources), and near paddy field.

Notes:

- This is a moth of the Crambidae family. It is a pest because the larvae feed on the rice plants (paddy). Thanks to Nuwan Chathuranga for the ID.
