Diarsia intermixta
An attractive moth with ochre-coloured wings spanning about 30 mm. Each forewing had a single reniform white patch with a dark pattern on the inner aspect. The submarginal area was bordered by a thin broken white line and a fine saw-toothed pattern along the trailing edge.
Spotted under bright lights - suburban street.
The moth larvae have chevron patterns along the dorsal side, hence the common name Chevron Cutworm. The larvae feed on many species of plants and are considered a minor agricultural pest (especially in Tasmania) Synonym: Graphiphora compta Family: Noctuidae Subfamily: Noctuinae
