Drasteria ochracea

Description:

A fairly large day flying moth with a wingspan of about 46 mm. Mostly brown with some darker markings. Blends in nicely to bark, sandy soil, leaf litter, dying vegetation, ect. Flies almost like a butterfly.

Habitat:

Spotted in disturbed soil. Mixed forest and a dry creek bed nearby.
