Description:

"Slightly smaller than Pyrausta subsequalis. Forewing dark brown with a large orange PM spot near costa; wide orange PM band on hindwing."

Notes:

Larvae of this species are reported to feed on mint (Mentha) species and other Lamiaceae such as savory (Satureja spp.) and beebalm (Monarda spp.).
