Queen of Spain fritillary

Description:

Bright orange and very attractive fritillary with a pattern of regular rows of black spots; and a green-greyish zone around the body. The underside of the hindwings is decorated with large pearly nacreous spots. The butterfly is medium sized, approx 5 cm of wingspan.

Habitat:

Botanical garden; well wooded area.
