thick, greyish white shelflike fungus

Habitat:

dead log, temperate forest

Notes:

One of many fungi I saw during a 3 hour hike at Short Hills provincial park.

I'll let you know if I come about anything. It reminded me of a shelf fungus, though I havent seen one with such large pores. Then, I thought a type of bolete, but boletes usually grow from the ground.
