Orange Poria

Ceriporia spissa

Description:

crustlike, broadly spreading, stalkless. Unlike most sheeting pore fungi, Orange Poria is an annual.

Habitat:

dead log, temperate forest

Notes:

I really liked the color and structure of this fungi. I would not say it's a common species in the area. Short Hills provincial park.

Yeah, I see what you mean, especially in the wide shots it does. Spread some of this on your toast!
