Description:

This large 4 cm wasp is common in southern mexico and is reddish-brown with yellow on the legs. It is very aggressive and has a horrible sting. Everyone is always wary of it when they are close. It was drinking water in a splash zone next to the river.

Habitat:

Tropical Forest, dry season, Chorreadero Park, 10 km above Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico.
