Banded Assassin Bug

Description:

A red, white and black assassin bug of the Family Reduviidae, about 8 mm to 1 cm long. His brightly stripped black and white legs make him easy to spot. See also: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/203....

Habitat:

Abandoned field on a raspberry bush, semi-urban area on the outskirts of the city, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

The first 3 pictures were taken on 11 December 2012, in the same place on an adjacent plant.
