Description:

This butterfly seemed to have been attracted by the glitters of the Christmas decors we have in the garage. Melanitis leda (Linnaeus, 1758), Dry season form. Melanitis leda leda (Linnaeus, 1758), is the subspecies occurring in the Philippines. From Wikipedia: Melanitis leda, the Common Evening Brown, is a common species of butterfly found flying at dusk. The flight of this species is erratic. They are found in Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia extending to parts of Australia.

Spotted in the garage.
