Marsh frog

Pelophylax ridibundus

Description:

Back is bright green, with large darker spots, and it made an excellent camouflage in this marsh. The one on the left looks rather large (possibly female?), about 15 cm.

Habitat:

Marshy (protected) lands with dense vegetation, at the outskirts of our village.

Notes:

These two were perfectly immobile, and the only reason I noticed them was that the bigger one slightly moved couple of times. The smaller one I did not even see on my camera, I noticed it for the first time on my screen, after coming back home...
