American Crow

Corvus brachyrhynchos

Description:

From the Corvus family, smaller then the Ravens. All black in color. Like most blackbirds they can be found in many areas and seldom fly alone. During the day the fly in large groups to different locations and before evening they follow almost the same route back to their roost. They feed on earthworms, insects, small animals, seeds, fruit, garbage, carrion, and chicks taken from nests.

Habitat:

Can be located treetops, fields, and roadsides, open woods, empty beaches and cities.
