Yellownecked Caterpillar

Datana ministra

Description:

Not 100% certain of this identification, but it's the closest I can get, I think. Check the third reference link for more information.

Habitat:

Apparently northern United States and southern Canada and west of the Rocky Mountains. But they have drifted down here to Texas, it seems.

Notes:

Found on the sidewalk while walking past University of St. Thomas in Houston.
