Dystipsidera sericea
This species of carabid is arboreal and diurnal. It is very fast moving and a good flyer, which makes it a very efficient predator. Its colouration is a shiny dark green with yellow markings on elytra; the underside, and the large mandibles are also yellow. The large silvery eyes provide excellent vision.
Found on a tree trunk in tropical rainforest around Lake Eacham, on the Atherton Tablelands.
