Shrubs 3-4 feet tall with pointed light green leaves and dark red to black fruits (berries).

Habitat:

Tropical montane bog.

Notes:

Spotted at several locations in Mt. Kaala bog. This native Hawaiian species is extremely difficult to propagate by any method.
