tiny black bee

Habitat:

Tiny black bee with pollen covered legs in a sunny garden plot. These tiny bees and other native bees in our yard do utilize invasive wild mustard, perhaps that is why its seeds germinate and spread so well, because native insects value and use it. Very little else grew on our property for a number of years and this was a valuable plant to our bees. These bees also use Stellaria, a weed people poison with herbicides. DON"T use chemical toxins on your yard.
