Little Blue Heron

Egretta caerulea

Description:

Adult shifting its feet on a floating marker

Habitat:

Suburban canal in the morning

Notes:

A tricolored heron was hunting on the shore nearby, maybe using the little blue as a sentry. In other words, if the little blue senses danger and flies away, the tricolored will be alerted to the danger and do the same
