Description:

A Big-Headed fly with red eyes and a dark brown-black body, 2mm in length. Most of the Big-Headed Flies are endoparasites of Leaf Hoppers and Plant Hoppers. Family Pipunculidae.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
