Milvus milvus
Medium sized bird of prey, with some 170 cm of wingspan. Mainly rufous to brownish appearance, white a cream colored feathers under the wings. Head is light grey in color. Tail deeply forked, and moves all the time as the bird soars the skies.
Center of Geneva, bords of lake Leman - or actually the famous city beach 'Bain des Paquis'.
It was an impressive sight - two birds were flying around the beach all afternoon, and picking down to water from time to time, even in the midst of swimmers.
