Description:

A medium-sized raptor of open grasslands and savannas, the White-tailed Kite is readily identified by its bright plumage and its habit of hovering while hunting for small mammals.

Habitat:

open fields

Notes:

This location attracts a very large number of White-tailed Kites and other raptors. On most winter days, you can count 20 or more from the same field.
