Description:

A capsule shaped cylendrical organism suspended from a blade of grass through a very fine silken thread. About 8mm long and has a diameter of about 4mm. Maybe its a wasp nest, there are lots of wasps around or maybe an Ant Lion's egg I see several black adult Ant lion flying around too.

Thanks BugEric for the ID. Certainly it is.

Here's one of my ichnemon pupa spottings but it's not hanging like this. I suppose different species have different methods of attaching them. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/114...

I agree CindyBinghamKeiser, its the same spotting, ant lion's eggs hangs like this but the texture of this spotting is more of a cocoon type.

Ignacio spotted one similar in Costa Rico but unfortunately doesn't have an ID yet. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/113...
