South America and North America. Openings, edges, fields, and weedy areas in tropical and subtropical lowlands and foothills.

"Fyn Kynd", I don't found anything that indicates this species in Brazil. The specie is similar... But... Is this right with sure ("Euptoieta hegesia") ?

Looks like a species of Euptoieta. Almost E. hegesia, but I don't know if it occurs in your area.
