Parus caeruleus
The small blue tit can easily be recognized with its blue and yellow plumage, white cheeks and azure blue crown and dark blue line passing through the eye. It remains a resident of Europe in winter.
A residual forest patch with mixed deciduous and pine trees. Photographed from my bedroom window.
This little guy was feeding on the lichen seen on the tree.

My place is surrounded by tall trees which come quite close to the house :-)

Cool, thank you for the info - you have some really beautiful and crisp shots! I just got a 100-400 mm this winter and I love it :)
too cute and adorable!
Thanks Elsa! My camera is a Nikon D7000. I normally use a 400 mm lens for birds but this one was close to my window and I had a 70-300 mm zoom mounted on the camera at the time.
Gorgeous series, what camera & lens do you use Daniele?
Thanks Jeannette! I know you love them too :-)
