Description:

White, translucent, jelly like. Lettuce leaf like.

Habitat:

On a dead oak branch.

Notes:

Also known as snow fungus, snow ear or silver ear. Very popular in Chinese medicine and cuisine. A parasitic yeast of Annulohypoxylon fungi. The filaments seen in the second pic penetrate the hyphae of the host.
