Epipaschiinae sp.
This one looked almost black but was actually subtle shades of pink and green. About 16mm long.
Resting on internal wall at night.
Thanks to ShannaB for a clue. The last pic has 20% boosted saturation to amplify colour variations in pattern. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dhobern/320... and http://www.flickr.com/photos/dhobern/320...

No probs, I don't think I was much help! ; )
nice spot!!great work !!
Actually the flash has caused the moth to look unnaturally light and coloured. It was almost black to the eye... but I have also found much variation. I think I'll go with sp. - thanks Shanna.
You might be onto something for sure Shanna. I'll check it thoroughly later. Sorry about the 'throw-away' answer. I wanted to say I know how tough these pesky little moths can be to ID and I will therefore put the job off for a little while :)
Oh, I thought I was on to something there! : ) I'm looking for moth IDs too, not having much luck.
(these little moths will drive you crazy)
no it's nothing like it at all.... 8-)
