Western Palm Warbler

Setophaga palmarum palmarum

Description:

The Western form is the nominate subspecies of Palm Warbler. The Eastern subspecies, S.p. hypochrysea, is much more yellow. This species can be seen hopping on the ground or a perch, usually pumping their tail all the while. A common Winter resident here in the South.
