It is a Selasphorus genus hummingbird. Default species in LA this time of year is Allen's.
However, that doesn't necessarily rule out Rufous, since they do show up in LA during the winter, albeit in lower numbers. The specifics differences between the two males are vague and it's unlikely you will get a definite ID from these photos.
