Description:

North American Shorebird
This bird has a long thing bill that starts out dark yellow and then the rest is black and curves slightly upward. The name comes from the bright yellow color of it's long legs. Body color is a white belly and rump, and greyish brown from head to back and wings. Neck and chest may have a darker shade of brown streaks. Faint brown stripe from bill to past the eyes. The top of head, back and wings can get darker with a white speckles as well as the chest with white and brown speckles.

Habitat:

Breeding season on tundras and winters in lakeshores and tidal mudflats

Notes:

Spotted this and the other one in tidal pond and lagoons.
