Karen, these are the first black pots I've seen as well. These were in an area with rich dark soil. But there is a great deal of variety in this area:

Wow ... Black pots! Cool. Must be darker sand nearby? I love finding these little pots. I never let my hubby knock them down - even if they've already hatched out. I know--- I'm pathetic ! :)
