Description:

A beautifully plush looking moth with chromed antennae and a classy tri-coloured fur coat and stole. At rest the back is cream, light and dark brown wavy lines with some rich blood-red spots overlaid. (24mm length)

Habitat:

Under very bright lights on pathway at a local car dealer yard.

Notes:

Actually 2 specimens here. 1 and 5 on vehicle windscreen.

Julius Caesar would be proud. :-) Literally, the Latin translation of "sanguinipunta" means "blood spotted."
