Anas platyrhynchos domesticus
At first glance, resembles male mallard. Head is black, dull green and with a splash of iridescent green. Feathers are tan instead of dark brown and gray. No white ring around neck. Yellow beak. Orange legs and feet. Curly tail is black and white (similar to male mallard in shape and coloring). This duck is a cross between Mallard, Rouen, and Runner ducks.

Thanks Hemma. Some of the other ducks I found are quite rare. I love the canal near my house.
Great collection and pics of Water Fowls!
Thanks Liam. I found a Khaki Campbell female in my brook in the woods last year. This was a different location and male this time.
It's a Khaki Campbell (domestic Mallard breed), Anas platyrhynchos.
Thanks so much Marinus Dominus. Still searching. There were a few hybrids last year at this location and mallards interbreed.
