Limacodidae, some slug caterpillar. Must be closely related to Acharia stimulea found in the U.S.
On a huge-leaf garden plant in a town garden, Amazonas, Brazil.
So pretty! I wonder what these caterpillars get to feed on in Brazil to come out so colorful! :)
Thank-you Dominik! As I mentioned, it looked very much like the Acharia stimulea that lives in my yard, but I didn't know if Brazil had other genera that were close. Those links you provided are great matches!
