Description:

Adults have short, broad wings and a long square tail that has a white tip. The chest is white with light brown streaks.

Habitat:

They are found in forested areas and are often associated with residential areas across the Americas. This guy was seen in a backyard.

Congratulations on a lifer! Good luck with the Varied Thrush, they're great looking birds, and rare visitors up my way too.

Thanks Tom, Emily, and Hemma! It was a lifer for me Tom! We actually went to this guys house to find a rare Varied Thrush that has been here for a few weeks (rare for Texas), and as soon as we got there this guy came in and scared off all the little birds! Trying again for the thrush in a few days :)
