Description:

Adult male: forewing mottled gray with thin black wavy lines; PM line sharply-toothed near costa, bulging inward above inner margin where it usually approaches median line. Hindwing light gray with toothed median line and diffuse speckling; female has vestigial wings and cannot fly. (information from BugGuide)

On the side of a building within a City park

Notes:

I found this moth and 14 others resting on the side of a building, early in the day. The morning sun was just rising and the temperature was 34 degrees F.
