Species ID with a bit of doubt: Distribution of pantherinus ends in Panama, acc. to genus revision.
Keys to this species, or to R. apicalis (in which there should not be any red spot on apex).

Several spp. of the genus very variable in pattern.

bayucca, the colour and markings are similar, but the size doesn't match. The one in my pic is about half the size of a palmetto weevil.
