I got a rare chance to see the top side of this hairstreak (pic 1) showing the yellow and black spots on the hind wing. Pic 2 shows the underside which is grey with its distinctive markings.
Spotted on wildflowers in a powerline meadow. Mixed woods nearby.

Nice one. Our hairstreaks rarely open up.. I guess they all do it.
