Cap. Tan; approximately 7.5-cm diameter; funnel shaped. Caps begin as convex; flattening and then become funnel shaped. Gills. Decurrent; complete and partial crowded; white to off-white. Stem. Largest approximately 1.5 cm tall; approximately 1 cm thick; very slightly thicker at the base. Images #5/#6 of a similar mushroom at a different location on this trail showing cap flat.
Growing in ground at the edge of pine woods.
