Tobacco Hornworm

Manduca sexta

Description:

Golden colored tobacco hornworm.

Habitat:

Found on tomato plant in our vegetable garden.

Notes:

I've been picking hornworms off tomato plants for decades and have never seen anything like this one. Their normal green color camouflages them very well. I saw this one from a distance. It stuck out like a sore thumb.
