This is a male Green Skimmer, Orthetrum serapia Watson, 1984.
Spotted in our front yard, perched on an electrical extension cable.
There is some slightly confusing information on the internet, concerning Orthetrum serapia and Orthetrum sabina sabina. So, my ID is in some doubt. I will resolve this problem as soon as possible and adjust this spotting, if necessary.
