Western Tree Frog

Polypedates occidentalis

Description:

Tree frogs are a diverse family of amphibians including over 800 species. Since they rely on leaves and branches their toes have toe pads to help them climb and many have extra skeletal structures in their toes

Habitat:

Rainforest and Evergreen forest of Agumbe. The forests of Agumbe is a part of the Western Ghats. The Western Ghats have an exceptionally high level of biological diversity including many endemic species. It is also recognized as one of the world’s eight hottest hotspots' of biological diversity, inscribed in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage sites list in July 2012
