Black Scavanger Flies

Sepsidae

Description:

Small and very 'ant looking with pinched abdormin and rond head. On of 23 species of Sepsidae, they are often seen on dung, carcases or low vegitation constantly holding the wings back at an angle and waving them as they walk.

Habitat:

Prefer long vegitation such as uncut grass in gardens or in the bushvelt.
