Description:

A striking looking bird in their breeding plumage. Mostly white with pale gray wings and upper back. Black legs and cap. Thick orange-red bill with a black tip. This is my first spotting of this bird in Washington state.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge.
