Bubo scandiacus
Large white owl. Immature birds have dark spots over their bodies.
Usually tundra but during irruption years (and occasionally for no apparent reason) birds will travel well away from tundra. This bird stayed on condos by the beach in various places for several months.

Awesome spotting! I remember the Snowy on Jekyll Island. A celebrity owl:)
Thanks. He stayed along the coast from at least early December until about a week after this photo was taken. He disappeared for a few weeks but the same species was seen in Florida so I think it was the same bird. He came right back to Georgia to stay for another month or more though.
Great spotting, Georgia is a long way from the tundra!
