Ruddy Turnstone

Arenaria interpres

Description:

Small shorebird often found near rocky coasts. Bright orange legs and face/breast markings make this easily identifiable. This bird is in non-breeding plumage so the patter on the breast and face is not as apparent.

Habitat:

Beaches and rocky coasts.
